Custom Domain Setup

Connect your own domain for a professional branded URL.

Why Use a Custom Domain?

Prerequisites

  2. Access to DNS settings
  3. Business plan (if required)

Step-by-Step Setup

1. Purchase a Domain

Buy from registrars like:

2. Add Domain in Pintas

  1. Go to Settings > Domain
  2. Enter your domain: 
    www.yourstore.com
  3. Click Save
  4. Note the instructions shown

3. Configure DNS

At your domain registrar, add a CNAME record:

CNAMEwwwpintas.turbospark.myAuto

For root domain (@), add:

A@(IP provided)Auto

4. Wait for Propagation

Section titled “4. Wait for Propagation”

DNS changes take time:

  • Usually: 15 minutes - 4 hours
  • Maximum: 24-48 hours

Check progress at dnschecker.org

5. SSL Certificate

Section titled “5. SSL Certificate”

Once DNS propagates:

  • SSL automatically issued
  • Site accessible via HTTPS
  • Padlock icon appears

Verifying Setup

Test your domain:

Terminal window
# Check DNS
nslookup www.yourstore.com


# Should show:
# www.yourstore.com canonical name = pintas.turbospark.my

Common DNS Settings

Namecheap

Section titled “Namecheap”
  1. Domain List > Manage
  2. Advanced DNS
  3. Add New Record
  4. Type: CNAME
  5. Host: www
  6. Value: pintas.turbospark.my

GoDaddy

  1. My Products > DNS
  2. Add Record
  3. Type: CNAME
  4. Name: www
  5. Value: pintas.turbospark.my

Cloudflare

  1. DNS > Records
  2. Add Record
  3. Type: CNAME
  4. Name: www
  5. Target: pintas.turbospark.my
  6. Proxy: Off (DNS only)

Using Root Domain

Section titled “Using Root Domain”

To use yourstore.com (without www):

  1. Add CNAME for www
  2. Set up redirect from root to www
  3. Or use A record if IP provided

Most registrars offer domain forwarding.
